The Peru Historical Society was founded in 2000.
Collections:
The Peru Historical Society has early 1900s furniture, small farm equipment, Lewiston Sun and Lewiston Journal newspapers dating from 1907-1933, Peru Town Reports from 1910-2011, local maps and obituaries.
Facilities:
A former school/Town office built in 1897 is now used as a base for the Society. The building is being used for object categorizing and will eventually be turned into miscellaneous display areas.
